Asociația Obștească „Societatea de Micobacteriologie Clinică din Republica Moldova” a fost înființată pe data de 12 ianuarie 2016, iar pe data de 14 ianuarie 2016 a fost eliberat Certificatul de Înregistrare, cu numărul 1016620000077, de către Ministerul de Justiție. Scopul Societății Micobacteriologie Clinică din Republica Moldova constă în crearea unui cadru organizatoric adecvat pentru toți specialiștii din domeniul micobacteriologiei clinice , bolilor pulmonare si sănătății publice în vederea ridicării nivelului profesional și științific al școlii moldovenești de medicină și de micobacteriologie și a îmbunătățirii continue a cercetării și practicii medicale. Societatea de Micobacteriologie Clinică din Republica Moldova desfășoară activități de educație medicala, dar si de informare și de educație pentru sănătate pentru publicul larg. Conferințele de micobacteriologie si epidemiologie în parteneriat cu IMSP Institutul de Ftiziopneumologie „Chiril Draganiuc”, USMF „Nicolae Testemițanu”, Spitalul Municipal de Ftiziopneumologie, ș.a reunesc anual participanți din numeroase specialități medicale, dar si din rândul organizațiilor societății civile cu preocupări in domeniu. Societatea de Micobacteriologie Clinică din Republica Moldova își propune să devină un liant între toți profesioniștii implicați în domeniul patologiei micobacteriene si un partener de încredere pentru instituții publice, private si organizații profesionale
Obiectivele Societății de Micobacteriologie Clinică din Republica Moldova:
1. Ridicarea nivelului profesional și științific al specialiștilor din domeniul micobacteriologiei din Republica Moldova
2. Îmbunătățirea continuă a calității micobacteriologiei clinice prin creșterea standardelor educației și practicii microbiologice
3. Participarea la elaborarea unor programe naționale și internaționale de cercetare
4. Participarea la soluționarea problemelor de etică și deontologie medicală, în colaborare cu alți specialiști din domeniul micobacteriologiei clinice
5. Crearea unui cadru adecvat schimburilor de idei și soluții între membrii săi, pentru a rezolva mai bine, împreuna, problemele lor specifice
6. Asigurarea accesului la o informație de calitate și difuzarea unor informații utile domeniului, inclusiv asupra ultimelor evoluții în plan internațional
7. Susținerea și reprezentarea intereselor profesionale ale membrilor săi în raporturile cu autoritățile publice, cu asociațiile profesionale similare din țară și străinătate, cu celelalte persoane fizice și juridice
8. Dezvoltarea parteneriatului cu organismele publice pentru a răspunde cât mai bine cerințelor din domeniul micobacteriologiei clinice
